Nomads Sydney North held their annual charity golf day at Long Reef Golf Club on 22 November
2022, raising funds for the McGrath Foundation and Jack Newton Junior Golf.
Over 130 players took to the course wearing pink caps on a mission to help the McGrath Foundation
reach their goal of 250 breast care nurses by 2025 so that nobody in Australian suffering from breast
cancer goes without care.
The ethos of Nomads Golf is to use the medium of golf to raise funds for charitable causes and to foster the furtherance of golf through its partnership with Jack Newton Junior Golf. The club has a long history of raising funds for charity and the furtherance of golf and has raised over $636,000 since the club started in 2005.
The club is part of a network of 5 clubs in Australia and a wider network of clubs throughout the world. Collectively the Nomads Australian Clubs have raised in excess of $1.2M.
The 2022 charity day raised $58,567 for the McGrath Foundation and a further $15,000 for Jack Newton Junior Golf. This was made possible through corporate sponsorships and funds raised on the day through raffles and auction items donated by local organisations.
“The 2022 Nomads Sydney North charity golf day far exceeded all expectations, and we were
extremely proud to make a generous contribution to a worthy cause”
